I know most of you now must be bored with your default iPhone operator logo. Well there are some Cydia tweaks that allows you to change your operator logo with the text you want like MakeItMine and Fake Operator. But the one that stands out the most for me is Zeppelin from modmyi repo.

By default, Zeppelin gives you a set of icon to choose. For example in the picture above you can select Batman, Android and many more. But what makes Zeppelin interesting is you can edit your own picture and make your own operator logo like the one shown below.

Before you install and use Zappelin, for those who used other operator logo tweaks should revert it back to your original operator logo.

Installation Steps

-          Go to Cydia and search for Zeppelin.

-          Install and respring.

-          Go to Settings and scroll down to Zeppelin.

-          Enable it

-          Select theme and Apply & Respring.

For those who want to edit their own operator logo, here’s the guide:

Tools you need:

iExplorer [www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/] or ifunbox [http://www.i-funbox.com/] to move the file to your iPhone.

Photo Editing Software (For editing and resizing picture. Photoshop recommended)

-          Download (or create) the image file, save it as PNG

-          For my case, I use Photoshop to resize the image

-          Save as the image as 3 group of pictures.

The first group you must save the picture as the following names

  • black.png (Carrier logo when the status bar is black, white color logo or text is recommended. Maximum size for this file is 30×20 pixels. Used for Non-Retina display).
  • black@2x.png (Carrier logo when the status bar is black, white color logo or text is recommended. Maximum size for this file is 60×40 pixels. Used for Retina display).

The second group you must save the picture as the following names

  • etched.png (Carrier logo when the status bar is black, white color logo or text is recommended. Maximum size for this file is 30×20 pixels. Used for Non-Retina display).
  • etched@2x.png (Carrier logo when the status bar is black, white color logo or text is recommended. Maximum size for this file is 60×40 pixels. Used for Retina display).

The third group you must save the picture as the following names

  • silver.png (Carrier logo when the status bar is silver, color logo or text is recommended, if plain text, can use blue color to match with the Signal bar and WiFi/3G logo. Maximum size for this file is 30×20 pixels. Used for Non-Retina display).
  • silver@2x.png (Carrier logo when the status bar is silver, color logo or text is recommended, if plain text, can use blue color to match with the Signal bar and WiFi/3G logo. Maximum size for this file is 60×40 pixels. Used for Retina display).

And as an alternative for the third group, you can name the file with these:

  • silver@2x-alt1.png
  • silver-alt1.png

Then place all 3 group of edited pictures including the alternative inside a single folder and name it as you like. (The name of the folder will appear in the Zeppelin as themes with logo).

After that, use the iexplorer or ifunbox to navigate to /library/zeppelin inside your iPhone, and paste the folder there. Respring your iPhone and now you can choose the logo you’ve just created. Enjoy!

Here I give you some of the logo operators of my home carrier which you can use as templates.

And here is a video from youtube showing how to edit and create the picture for the operator logo:
